Our turmeric is a mixture of turmeric root and turmeric extract which provides a level of 95% curcumin, the highest concentration available. Curcumin is the part of turmeric that contains all the beneficial properties. When turmeric is ingested through food, curcumin only amounts to 3%. To further increase the bioavailability of curcumin, we have black pepper in our supplement. Black pepper, specifically its component piperine, is known to increase the bioavailability of turmeric. Glycine is produced naturally in our body and serves as a building block for protein. It is for instance used in the liver when producing Glutathione and also in the production of the protein collagen, which consists of a high concentration of Glycine.
